We’re pleased to announce a major milestone for Edge Protection Hire Pty Ltd – we’ve officially moved into our own dedicated yard in Marrickville. For many years, we operated alongside our sister company, Stronghold Hire Scaffolding, out of their Mascot yard. That setup served us well during our growth phase, but the time has come to step into our own space and continue building the business with greater independence and efficiency.

This isn’t just a change of address — it’s a strategic step forward for how we operate. Having our own facility gives us:

• Full control over our operations – including vehicles, stock management, and daily scheduling
• Improved efficiency – streamlined loading, dispatch, and returns without competing yard demands
• More storage capacity – allowing us to scale up stock levels and service more projects simultaneously
• Greater flexibility – with full control over opening and closing times to suit project requirements

All of this translates to a faster, more reliable service for our clients across Sydney.

A Practical Advantage in All Conditions

One of the biggest benefits of the new yard is that it’s fully enclosed. That means when the weather turns — as it often does — our team doesn’t lose productivity. Instead, we can keep our installers busy with:

• Equipment servicing and maintenance
• Washing and preparing vehicles
• Prepping materials for upcoming jobs
• Organising and improving stock systems

It’s a simple but important advantage that keeps the business moving regardless of conditions.

New Workshop & Office Space

A major upgrade for us is the addition of a dedicated workshop and a large office space — something we’ve never had before. We’ve built a small in-house workshop within the yard, allowing us to properly service, maintain and prepare our equipment to a higher standard. Just as importantly, we now have a proper office setup under the same roof as our operations. Previously, our team was working from home or operating out of another of our sister company’s offices (the labour hire company HLH Group) in Bondi Junction. Bringing everything together into one location is a big step forward for communication, efficiency, and day-to-day management.

Marrickville: A Great Fit

We’ve landed in Marrickville — a vibrant, industrial hub that suits our operations perfectly. It’s also centrally located, with our yard just an 8-minute drive to the motorway, allowing quick and efficient access to all parts of Sydney. Whether it’s the CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, or further out to Western Sydney, our team can mobilise faster and more efficiently than ever. And yes, Friday afternoons around here aren’t too bad either.
