On the project Edge Protection was tasked to provide roof edge protection to enable the client to safely work on the roof of a double-story residential building. The project consisted of a loft conversion and another lift being put in.
Edge Protection System Used
On this job, we opted to use our pole-up system, with its double-story capability and tight access to either side of the building due to neighbouring properties it was the perfect solution. Due to the additional height, we used a couple of wall ties to ensure structural strength.
Benefits of Used System
One of the reasons that we decided to choose this system was, that it can be installed with limited access and the pole-up system normally uses surface pressure, so no fixings are required thus meaning no patch-ups required. The footprint of the pole-up systems is also very small, just the size of a small wooden board!
