ABOUT EDGE PROTECTION HIRE
At Edge Protection Hire, our mission is to provide comprehensive, reliable, and cost-effective temporary edge protection solutions that prioritise safety and compliance.
Our clients range from government bodies and large construction companies to smaller sub-contractors such as roofers, AC companies, tilers, and solar. Alongside these, a large percentage of our customers are homeowners carrying out both minor and major renovations.
OUR STORY
We have over 30 years of combined experience in the construction industry. Having founded and continue to run multiple other businesses in Stronghold Hire and HLH Group, we discovered that the Australian market was lacking cost-effective safety solutions. As a company, we wanted to do something about it and ensure safety was attainable and affordable for everyone in the construction industry.
We then headhunted an edge protection specialist from the UK to help turn this vision into reality. Since then we have become the pioneers of the edge protection industry in Sydney, leading the charge with change, innovation and education.
Experienced and Qualified Team partnered with Certified and Tested Edge Protection Systems.
Since we first expanded, we have invested heavily in staff training ensuring our high standards were transferred across from our other businesses and new skills learned and developed.
We have also invested heavily in what we believe is one of the best edge rail systems in Australia. Tested to meet the AS/NZS4994.2009 the Temporary Edge Protection General Requirements standard the E-Bracket® systems are sure to keep you safe.
EDGE PROTECTION
HIRE WAY
At Edge Protection Hire, we believe in doing things the right way, the safest way, and the most efficient way.
We ensure no stone is left unturned and the customer is kept informed throughout. Take a look at our 6-step process to see how we operate.

1. SITE VISIT
Where reasonably practicable we undertake a site visit before any work is carried out.

2. RISK ASSESSMENT
We complete a full risk assessment before any work goes ahead to ensure people, the environment, and equipment are not put at risk.

3. SWMS
We complete S.W.M.S. Theses are site-specific and each installation team and site team sign on to these to ensure they understand the methods and procedures before starting any work on site.

4. Installation
Only after all these prior steps have been completed do we start the installation.

5. SIGN OFF
After the installation is complete and we are happy that it is fully compliant with the AS/NZS4994.2 standard do we then sign off the edge rail system and issue the handover certificate.

6. TIDY UP & REMOVAL
Upon completion, we then ensure no waste is left on site. The hire of the edge rail then starts until we are called back for the removal.
